Well,
I haven't posted or been on LJ in forever. A lot has happened to me over the course of a year. I'm doing well. Let's call it a readjustment of sorts.

Sep. 16th, 2006 | 03:03 pm
Well, the hubby is at work, and Em and I are watching some Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. We are just so busy, HA! Nice kicked back day, heck we may even take a nap.
I wanted to give the sincerest of Happy Birthday's to a beautiful person named Maria. Maria, I hope you have a wonderful 34th. Don't spend all darn day studying. Make sure you get to enjoy yourself a little :)
Peace out!
Lis

I swear people never cease to amaze me. Life is to short to be an annoying idiot. Take your shit to another forum for that. I am a tolerant person, but not quite that tolerant.
Sorry for the rant, but DAMN! Get a clue :)

Sleepless

cranky
It is 5:25am, and for some reason my body woke me up at 4:00am. How's that for a bunch of crap! So, I've just been sitting here playing with Paint shop pro on the computer. Praying that I will be tired soon. It wouldn't be so bad if my 5 year old weren't here, because I could sleep in!

God, I drove 300+ miles today! Damn that is one hell of a long way. Started out in Richmond, IN then to Columbus, OH then to Springfield, OH then to West Carrollton,OH which then lead me home after my visit with the team I have working at that store. I guess if that is all I have to complain about, I ought to shut up.
I do hate driving. Man do I ever

Marion, Ohio will never be the same

calm
Well, this week one of the teams of people I am managing this summer had a project to complete in Marion, OH. So, since that is 2.5 hours away from where they/I live, the company got us rooms. Naturally I had my own, everyone else had a bunkmate. One of my other teams had a project in Columbus, OH. Which was only about 45 minutes outside of Marion, so that worked out well for me. I was able to check in on both teams to maintain my presence. Well, the second night there, the fire alarm gets set off. The hotel was evacuated. Luckily, there was no fire, smelled like someone burned popcorn. The third day there, I am over with the Columbus team, ending my day with them. I then go over to Marion to complete my duties there, only to be stuck there with the team leader until 9:30pm. Now, we started to complete our job at 6:00pm, and she wanted to nit pick our work into the ground. This coming from the store that didn't heed anything I had to tell them the week prior to the team coming into their store to complete the job. Sometimes it is like talking to a flippin' wall. Anywhoo, I'm finally done at 9:30pm. I haven't eaten all day, I've had one Diet Mountain Dew. So, yes, I am a little cranky. I decide to stop off at a restaurant to eat. I order my food and drink. I get a phone call from the hotel, they need me over there. Holy shit, I just want to wind down and eat, and this pops up. I slurp down my French Onion soup and head over there. Apparently, the hotel has had to give away 3 rooms due to the noise that the team is creating. Plus, I find out the fire alarm was triggered from one of their rooms. Numerous guest complaints about when the team steps out to smoke, they are using profane language. Etc, etc. The hotel tells me that if it weren't for this being the last night of our stay, they would've kicked us out. I apologize, take the brunts from the hotel and start to fume. Let me tell you, I was livid. I called the co-owner of our company at home at 10:00pm at night to find out the directive on how he would like it handled. Needless to say, I handle it the next morning by the team re-sigining the forms they signed 5 weeks ago that have a specific rule on how to act during their hotel stay. How f*cking sad is that? That someone has to be told how to act during a hotel stay.
This team has another stay coming not this week but the following week. I believe I will lock them all in their rooms and stand outside the rooms with a tazer.
Rant over :)

Tornadoes
Jul. 11th, 2006 | 08:45 pm
Holy smack!!
Tornado today in our area. Scared the shit out of my 5 year old and myself! No sirens, no warning. I had to call the hubby who was on his way to work. With him working in the transportation industry, he really needed to know since he has no television on his way to work. He listens to his Sirius Sattelite, and hell, that gives nothing even with a warning. Sirens went off after the tornado, but luckily my daughter and I were in the basement. Slight structural damage to the house, but nothing that the homeowners insurance can't cover.
All is well in our house.......for now. :)

Guess What?
Jun. 25th, 2006 | 06:45 pm
Hey,
I finally figured out how to change the look of my journal around. Yes, before you even say it...........I realize that even my 5 year old could do it!
Still bored! And feeling like a complete lazy sack of useless potatoes.
Oh well, life goes on!

Well,
Friends at a local forum have encouraged me to get a LJ account. And POOF! Here I am :)
Not much going on at the moment, just sitting here watching my daughter play her PS2 games and eagerly awaiting for the hubby to get home from work.
Later I will be cooking boneless pork ribs and scallops on the grill :)
